Now Playing: "9/11"

A short slide presentation in memory of the 9/11/2001 terrorist attacks. I made this to show in class, so there is no soundtrack or narriation.

The deceased firefighter being carried off the scene is FDNY chaplain Mychal Judge, who was killed by falling debris as he gave the last rites to another firefighter.

The photos of the same older firefighter are of FDNY Chief of Special Operations Ray Downey, killed in Tower 1 of the World Trade Center that day. I had the great honor of meeting him in the early 1990s, when he was the "guru" of urban search and rescue, and taught through the National Fire Academy. He was a fireman's fireman, and the world is a lesser place without him with us here.

WARNING: This is a large (about 9 mb) file, and may take an excessively long time to download, even with a big internet pipeline (DSL/Cable).
